arf!
Last night was pretty cool. I went to karaoke for an hour with some work people (my first time in like 8 months or something). I sang missy higgins and dave matthews band songs. It was proleet. I then got a ride from connie to the UNSW band comp finals where the view were defeated by some band called mike and the funky tunes or something :
Lately I've been reading this book for cleansing stream, "forever ruined for the ordinary", it's pretty cool. It has been talking about how to hear God's voice literally. I'm yet to hear it for myself, but it's been pretty great to get into and find out about this stuff so far. It's heaps american though. In some bits the guy/girl writing it has actually typed conversational southern american dialogue, so it will read something like:

"of course you could choose to just get 2nd hand experiences of God through other people, but who wants that? not me! no siree! no maam!"
not actual quote

Anyway once you get past that kind of thing, it's a pretty good book, at least for what I am seeking to know at the moment. At this stage in my walk with God, it is getting undeniably obvious that the God of the universe I am worshipping is an interventionist and unquestionably real and relevent being, and I'm trying to do everything possible to make the most of that, and step out in faith as much as possible.

Anyways, the cross is on tonight, so I'll probably see some of you there :D

hot! hot! hot!
The office I work in is like a sauna at the moment :( my electronic thermometer says it is currently 25.3 degrees and 27% humidity. I'm almost sweating just sitting at my desk typing. That's so wrong for the middle of winter.

Anyways not much to fill you guys in on. The weekend was mainly spent away from home. Friday night was a combined youth group thing. I had a good time. Cutler and I toughed out an extremely tense game of chess in which I narrowly snatched victory from the jaws of defeat, and I also showed a few of my short films. The ninja one went down extremely well, I think I'm going to put it into blackstump... so hopefully that will be three of my movies added to the mix :D and if thommo finishes his, then out of around 8-10 movies, four will be made by St Johns people. In conclusion, everyone come to blackstump.

On saturday I met up with ausns people for some sushi. It's always weird meeting up with internet people because you kind of know them, but you kind of don't. I'd met a few of the dudes previously, so we got on OK. Photos may be pondered over here (excuse the drug references) and here. After sushi i played some DDR and hung out with a couple of the guys for a while at a pub, and then made my way to Five Dock to see the view play at the attic. It was a good gig, but zinger accidently kicked out Chris' guitar lead which made one of the songs sound a bit random. Other than that I thought they were great. They are playing again on thursday at the roundhouse (UNSW) if anyone is keen to go. I will be there with Mrs. Hunt as well.

I slept at the in law's place on saturday night. In the morning we had eggs and bacon and so much fruit that it was rediculous.

Sunday at five dock was this italian fete thing called ferrogosto or "ferro gus-to mate" if you are a bogan. It's pretty crap, but the attic had a stage and bands were playing. We didn't have time to stay around and watch the view again because Connie and myself had tickets to the 4 nations basketball, but we did manage to see paradyme and bump into mr croucher :D

The basketball was crapsticks. No yao, no bogut, no newley. I got to hang with fatman though which was nice.

We left early and got to church just in time. I spent the service drawing a picture on the paper tablecloth because I was feeling creative. The message was OK. I will reserve judgement on Mr Palmer until blackstump, where he is the keynote speaker.

Amanda's wedding DVD is finally finished as well (WOAH!) so I'm on a roll witht he whole movies thing. I wish I was as motivated to put up my america photos. I need to clear the CF card though really soon, so it'll happen I promise!

stay cool kids!
