spoiler free star wars episode 3 thoughts
I wasn't heaps keen to see this movie, unlike the other two I was an accessory to a friend's adventure to the midnight session of episode 3. I rocked up after radio with little hope for anything good, and an SLR just in case i saw some funny nerds. The line to get in was absolutely horrible. It was so long, and fox was keeping everyone out in the rain the bastards!
luckily I had la premiere tickets, so I walked straight in and up to the bar upstairs, where I gorged on free popcorn, and about 3-4 cups of free coke for caffene to keep me awake. I sat in silence with my friends consuming free beverages until about 11:45 whent hey ushered us into the theatre.
The movie was pretty tops. Very emotional, and a lot more good action and fast paced than the others. You'll be happy to know that jar jar again doesn't speak. It was interesting to see the bridge between episode 2 and episode 4. I really liked the way they did some things, and I really thought other things could have been enhanced a bit. The best thing was that I was never bored by lengthy scenes of pod racing or whatever. There was lots of similtaneous action going on, and lots of flicking between stuff.
I had to take a bathroom break halfway through (DAMN YOU BEVERAGES!) but luckily there looked like a bit of cheesey dialogue on its way, so i ducked out, and when i came back they were just wrapping it up, so I did well there.
All in all, I think the emotion was very good, only a couple of cringe worthy moments, and it kinda redeems the rest of the prequels since It was in the same vein of excellence (maybe not quite - but close enough) as the originals. Lots of nerds on the way out were saying it might even be the best one yet - but I think they were just relieved it didn't suck.
All in all, if you have very low expectations like most people did about this movie, it'll blow you away, I really liked it.
This guy would agree with me.

No fish.
Last weekend was cool. Friday we wetn ice skating witht he youth group. It was nice for everyone to hang out with non-shire people for a while I think. Interestingly two other youth groups were just coincidently at the rink that night and I knew people in them. That was bizarre, considering we go ice skating maybe once a year.
Saturday morning I got fed pancakes by dee. He was making them for his friends so I scored some of the batch. He makes a good pancake. We had a big discussion about whether maple flavoured syrup is maple syrup. It's not by the way, it's golden syrup with maple flavouring in it :O so poverty.
In the afternoon I went fishing with cutler and tim c. We caught nothing. I got one bite all night. All I can say, is I'm glad I wasn't relying on that trip to be able to eat. We did see a big accident occur though, and lots of policemens and ambulences came to try and sort it out. We couldn't see clearly what happened because we were far away, but it sounded bad. I hope no one died.
Sunday the triple B leaders came over to plan the camp. Connie was sick so we kinda struggled trhrough it, then skipped church because she was kinda throwing up. I think I caught what she has though because I wasn't able to go to work today. I did get 14 hours sleep though, which is rad. MMMMmmm I feel so refreshed.
