My ship hath sailed!
The last few days have been crazy. The camera people emailed me to say that my delivery would be held up pending a credit cheque because of BLAH BLAH BLAH SOMETHING ELSE. So that was quite annoying. Then my car wouldn't start on tuesday so I missed basketball. 'Sok though, because it's all sorted out now, I'm getting the camera delivered probably monday? and radio last night was fun.

I narrated this book on radio as a kinda disney style book+cassette thing. It worked nicely. You probably wont get it unless you're a nerd like me, and happen to be involved in ausns.

Cutler and Link came over for radio. Unfortunately their mic was a bit soft so you can't hear the interview very well D: but link did a good job reciting the jabberwocky at the end to take us out. We had magical trevor as the backing music.

All in all, it's been a crazy week and I can't wait for the weekend!

Huzzah for the shopkeep!
Well I'm FINALLY getting my slr sent to me this week, after about a week and a half of stupidness. I've paid for it and it's being shipped. I'll give a review once I get it eh :D No lens though yet, so I wont be able to take pictures sadly :D Maybe I can borrow a lens from someone. Anyways sarah - if you're reading - we'll have to organise a photo adventure!

Basketball was funny last night. We went up to the A's so we're in over our heads a little bit. We played REALLY well, and lost 41-69 so... should be a tough season.

Other than that, there's not much else to say really. It's my birthday on monday? Anzac day is soon? Radio tomorrow? just the usual stuff.

over n out!

What a crazy weekend :O

I had the most weird weekend. It's sort of a jumble as to what happened when so I'll do little subheadings, and you guys can follow along in your pew blogs, page 872.

big trouble in little lidcombe:
Whilst eating lunch at shinoya, myself and connie were disturbed from sushi munching by the sounds of two korean dudes loudly arguing at the table over the other side of the room. We continued munching on the fine and moderately priced japanese cuisine at shinoya, all the while the voices escalating. Suddenly, with my chopsticks mid scoop, I froze as I heard a loud crashing sound of wood on floor. The guys had jumped to their feet and were playing the pushy shovey game that usually preceeds a fight. Connie and myself were looking slack jawed as the two guys knocked over chairs and yelled at each other. After a few tense moments of this, the shop owners reached the limits of japanese politeness and ordered them out of the store. They paid and left.

Back to our meal and we were finishing up getting ready to leave when a girl walks into the shop and says "that guy who was in here is lying over there on the footpath". We paid shinoya and went out to have a looksee. One of the men was lying on the ground with blood dripping from his nose, and he was fairly motionless, and not responding to anyone talking to him. This lady informed us the guy he was fighting with punched him and he landed on the ground. Connie whipped out the mobile and called an ambulance STAT (you have to say stat in a medical crisis) and we waited for it to come while people milled around looking horrified.

It was about then, that the guy who was arguing with him came back! He was saying something about how the guy is very drunk and not injured. No one really trusted him - we just ignored him and continued to wait for the ambulance. So anyway, after a few minutes the guy on the ground starts talking! Everyone was rather shocked as he slowly stumbled back up to his feet (if that is even possible) wiped the blood from his nose, and told us all to f#$k off.

We cancelled the ambulance and went home.

Jamming with connie
Connie and I have been playing some tunes together, her on sax and myself on guitar. She plays pretty well. We just tried to play that coldplay song "the scientist"? and it was sounding OK after about a half an hour of playing. We need some songs that have a cool SAX part in them that aren't ska - and also websites to obtain the sheet music for free. So if anyone knows drop me a comment.

Skatin with kyle
I took kyle to bass hill for a few hours in the afternoon to skate. It was pretty crowded, but most of the dudes there were good skaters so it was nice to watch while you were waiting for your go. One guy was ollying off the top of this little drop off, and he nearly took a dude's head off because the guy wasn't watching where he was going. It could have ended really nastily. It looked really good though. There was this annoying 8 year old "I just discovered skate parks are cool to ride my BMX around in but I haven't worked out ettiquite yet" guy there too that nearly caused at least 20 accidents, and at one point this family came along and a 6 year old girl on a pink bike was riding around right in the middle of where everyone was skating. SOOoooooo dangerous. Suprisingly everyone sorta stopped for her, and she made things very congested for about 20 mins, until her family left. We had fun though skating around - even though clueless people made it kind of unsafe. Later on I took kyle to the snake run at lidcombe and we had soem fun there before going home. It was a nice day out.

Good church.
The service tonight at church was excellent. It was a really challenging sermon, good music, and a lot of emotion and spirit. It was the first time in ages I've really seen people touched en mass at st johns, so that was great. I got a lot out of it, and I think heaps of other people did too. It's services like that that make faith so much more real and certain. I wish my bro was there - he would have liked it.
