I have arrived at LA safely. The plane ride was oretty whack, we got really poor service and it was really loud. I'm going to try and buy some noise cancelling headphones asap.

Dave and I arrived at the airport about 9 in the morning and had to find our way to venice beach somehow. We ran into a german/australian guy named toby at the shuttle bus place and split a cab with him to venice. Our room, and in fact the whole town is straight out of a late 70's/early 80's kind of era, it feels like nothing in the place has changed since that time. Its sort of like byron bay, in that there are heaps of stoners and stalls selling weird crap on the footpaths, but theres like tonnes of weird things as well like a workout area on the beach, and people with chess boards wanting to play against random strangers and dancing rollerskaters and big massive black dudes in DPs.

I managed to realise one of my dreams yesterday and played in a streetball game on the basketball courts at venice beach. I was the chump as per white men can't jump. I scored a few points in the full court game we played - dave got some photos of me. The dudes on the other team were totally talking it up bigtime which was funny. It was like I was in NBA street or something.

We went out last night a bit as well, I had an ace burrito. Other than that not much else is going on. We're trying to figure out how to get to disneyland today :|
