spoiler free star wars episode 3 thoughts
I wasn't heaps keen to see this movie, unlike the other two I was an accessory to a friend's adventure to the midnight session of episode 3. I rocked up after radio with little hope for anything good, and an SLR just in case i saw some funny nerds. The line to get in was absolutely horrible. It was so long, and fox was keeping everyone out in the rain the bastards!

luckily I had la premiere tickets, so I walked straight in and up to the bar upstairs, where I gorged on free popcorn, and about 3-4 cups of free coke for caffene to keep me awake. I sat in silence with my friends consuming free beverages until about 11:45 whent hey ushered us into the theatre.

The movie was pretty tops. Very emotional, and a lot more good action and fast paced than the others. You'll be happy to know that jar jar again doesn't speak. It was interesting to see the bridge between episode 2 and episode 4. I really liked the way they did some things, and I really thought other things could have been enhanced a bit. The best thing was that I was never bored by lengthy scenes of pod racing or whatever. There was lots of similtaneous action going on, and lots of flicking between stuff.

I had to take a bathroom break halfway through (DAMN YOU BEVERAGES!) but luckily there looked like a bit of cheesey dialogue on its way, so i ducked out, and when i came back they were just wrapping it up, so I did well there.

All in all, I think the emotion was very good, only a couple of cringe worthy moments, and it kinda redeems the rest of the prequels since It was in the same vein of excellence (maybe not quite - but close enough) as the originals. Lots of nerds on the way out were saying it might even be the best one yet - but I think they were just relieved it didn't suck.

All in all, if you have very low expectations like most people did about this movie, it'll blow you away, I really liked it.

This guy would agree with me.
