weekend roundup!

saturday::
I taught connie how to ride a bike! We went to bicentennial park with don and tanya (work people) and rode around for a while. It's seriosuly the fastest I've ever seen connie pick anything up. She did really well. She had some trouble figuring out that to break you squeeze the little lever, rather than putting your feet down, but other than that she was top notch.

After bikes I had lunch with baka from NS at shinoya (sadly no drunken fighting this time) and then went home and played poker tournaments all night, while chatting to various people online. It was fun.

sunday::
I woke up ridculously early and went to sutherland to help Dan choose a deck for his new skateboard. We pretty much just walked in, grabbed a deck, and then left. It was quite efficient. He chose a blue one, it looks pretty nice. $50 with free grip tape for those that were wondering.

I then went straight to connie's parentals and had a small nap before my quietish birthday bbq. I had the eclectical people and my family around for some nice food, and some nice conversations. Nathan showed up late which was a nice suprise. The eclectical dudes gave me a dwayne wade singlet which was like the most uber presant ever. Mad props to them.

After the bbq I went to church, and then we put dan's deck together and had a skate at engadine. The youth dudes are meant to be meeting tomorrow to figure out who will be doing what for their leadership things. I probably didn't organise it very well the way I did it, but it'll be beneficial for them to work all the problems out themselves. I'm looking forward to seeing how they manage it all.

Still no camera. Although 30 mins ago I got a call saying my lens had been dispatched. It should arrive tomorrow or wednesday.
