Nothing, nothing and more nothing. This week has been pretty meh really. I've been thinking a bit about taking a trip overseas sometime in the next year or so, but I haven't really got very far with that. Apparently Halo 2 got released this week some time, which might explain why everyone's been pretty quiet. Also Half-life 2 is out in the next couple of days. So it's a big week for nerdy gamers with an xbox and a PC. If you're a mac user you may skip ahead to the next blog post while you eagerely wait the anticipated next installment of the myst series, "Myst 9: better than the other mysts" or maybe some game created using hypercard.
Anyways See you all tomorrow when I have something interesting to talk about.

You require more vespene gas.
Wake. Work. Home.
Basketball was cool... it was the last game of the season and we won so that was nice. I scored 13 points. Tried to dribble it through this guy's legs but he totally closed them too soon and foiled my plans! *bashes fist on table*
Anyways I've slept heaps :D So I'm feeling fine.

Day of rest.
I got up at 4am and started getting ready to leave the gold coast for sydney. Dave managed to throw the car keys "accidently" down the garbage disposal chute, which nearly made us miss our plane. We got on the plane about 2 mins after the scheduled departure time in the end, so it wasn't so bad... but if traffic hadn't gone our way, or if we'd like taken a wrong turn we would have been in trouble.
We all went straight from the plane to the office and worked which was a bit of an anti climax. It kinda feels like the weekend hasn't come yet and monday is actually friday #2 only there's also fridays #3 through #6 to come as well before the sweet, sweet weekend. I spent the night time sitting at home being tired.
The photos still aren't ready to be developed... I have a few shots left and I don't know what to use them on.

Tropical lazer beams
Well, I did make it to queensland on saturday morning. We shipped off to the station from Dave's really early (relatively) and made it to the airport just in time for the flight - taking leverage of the full five minute grace period where they will hold the flight for you overtime if you are late. It ended up though that the plane was delayed by a half hour, so I had time to grab breakfast. In other news, Jen and george, two work people, are going out now.
The first day was heaps chilled back in the apartment, playing guitar and eating and just hanging out and stuff. It was nice to sit around and do not much. I took a few photos and stuff but the film is still in the camera so you'll have to wait for those. For dinner we had some nice japanese food on caville ave (the schoolies centre of activity) and then crashed out to sleep early watching ghost busters.
Sunday was the big dreamworld day... or so we thought. The heavens opened and like 18cm of rain fell on the gold coast in 24 hours. There was flash flooding, and two girls drowned after being swept off the road in a ute. We called the dreamworld hotline and they said the park was open still, so we drove up there to have some fun. It took about an hour to get there, and there was numerous lakes forming in parks and creeks were spilling their streams over the banks, but we remained positive (Duff gardens... hurrah!). We pulled up at the parking lot and walked over to the gates and found out pretty quickly that the park was closed. @#$@#$!!! They also wouldn't refund our voucher for tickets because it doesn't expire, so we now have to come back again some time :O
I went for a nice walk in the rain when we got home just to air out my head, and the other guys went and got lunch. We went for a swim in the afternoon (because of course as soon as we got back the rain stopped) and had a nice hot spa to finsih off the day. We walked down to near the casino area for dinner and had some thai, tried unsuccessfully to obtain gelato, then walked back. The rest of the night we messed about on the guitars and watched lake placcid. I went to bed rediculously late and got up rediculously early.
Despite the disappointment of dreamworld, it was a fun weekend :D
