My life that never was...
I saw a dead cat on the way to work today, and I was going to start a mediocre punk/pop band, and write a crappy song about the cat, then follow it up with an equally sub standard album, then try to look as much like a girl as possible and fade into obscurity only to release several token money making albums at the most cost effective rate possible, and eventually do B-grade gigs like the opening of balmain warf etc. It would have been so sweet! but alas I only saw one dead cat, and it didn't seem like enough to write a song about. Maybe if I'd seen like three times that many, then it would be interesting enough to live my soiled life that never was as an overrated australian punk/pop singer with sexual identity problems.

Work++;
Afterwards I met up with bunny at kinokinuaokuyki...some big book store in the city, and we walked up to wynyard to wait for the others. It took them ages to get there... but eventually me, bunny, minh, hatman and linda all met up at this nice japanese restaurant, and we ate food and talked about whether or not hatman was a nerd in highschool.

facts:
* didn't play D&D, magic cards, or warhammer
* wore tie done up properly on extremely hot days even when not required to do so
* went well in exams
* was a big star wars fan

I'll let you be the judge. The company present at the time was undecided. I think I fit squaaaarely into the geek category based on thems ratings, but I always had a girlfriend in highschool, so does that make me a geek in denial? a geek removed from geekdom by success in social situations? or just a geek with a girlfriend?

Anyways after dinner we went to K-world and they had a whole bunch of new songs. Cat empire, old school chilli peppers, and pulp! YES PULP! it was great. I wanna go back and sing all the other songs there that I didn't get around to doing. Bunny was pwning up the karaoke last night, she good singer!

minh gave me a lift home as well (hooray!) so I got enough sleep for once.

hwaaaaaat?
Just another day :D The chance of me going to copenhagen is getting better :D but still, it's less than likely. If I go my blog might get interesting enough to read briefly without falling asleep. That would be pretty sweet. Mind you, this could just be my fake blog that I give out to throw people off the track in finding the place where I write down what I really do (which of course is some kind of secret international business that the safety of the world depends upon).

So in closing, I had a pretty meh day today... or did I?

Que?
Today was strange. It sort of slipped away quite quickly, and then once it was night time it seemed to linger on for ages. I went and visited my mum and brother last night... that was kinda nice. I showed my mum my movies... she commented on the weirdest things. She totally didn't understand the plot, but she's like "how'd you get the playground noises?" and "who's that girl in the background". She spent the whole movie commenting on how much alexi has grown up... hmm <3 anyway for at least saying she liked it afterwards. I guess you can't make your parents into something they are not.

Here comes the updater...
Well, I managed to send off my movie to the film festival. It's been a crazy two or three weeks, and I've finally got some time to myself again! The movie turned out pretty good, most reviews have been pretty positive thus far. Here's a flashback to the last week or so:

wenesday/thursday:
work + meh

friday:
After work I went to zion and hung out, then afterwards on to the all night bus tour for the cross (youth group things). Basically everyone hops on a bus and they drive somewhere, and people throw stuff at each other, and everyone goes crazy then you wake up heaps early and go watch a sun rise that never seems to work out as planned :D This year I dogged everyone and just slept heaps MUHAHAHAHAHAHAHAA! but I kinda missed out on a lot of fun. Still, im awake now to be typing this so I think I did OK. Next year I'll go crazier.

saturday:
OHNOES! they took out both gelatissimo and the lemonade stand from miranda fair, so how the fudge am I supposed to get something cool and refreshing to drink? D: I went and got the sims 2 for connie, and some headphones for me, and a bday present for cutler. I got him the cat empire's new DVD. I also made him a flash card that's a parody of the badger clip. He seemed to like it. At his party later that day, lots of the time was spent blowing up firecrackers, i mostly sat around and chatted with the girls. Emma said she reads my blog :O After the party i went and picked up some stuff from home, and talked a bit to dee.

Sunday:
Made a movie :D It was for ausns... but in the process I managed to get G-lined from the IRC server for having too many clients connected. I don't exactly know what that means but I can't connect any more. Boohoo.
