BOOOOOOOOOO! you're DANGEROUS!
It's interesting reading everyone else's blogs about today before writing my own... of course me being uber busy at the moment with filming, I have no time for blogging so I'm days behind, and thus get to read what everyone else thought of certain events before I write my perspective.
The day started nicely with a 2pm sleep in. I was still pretty tired though and spent the next hour cramming in about 2 hours worth of "things I had to do today" before I had to leave for filming. Consequently I was a half hour late, but we got it all done pretty quickly and the guys seemed to like the draft edit I'd done so hooray. I think I really miss phil's artisitc direction though. I'm not really that good with it yet, and in the last two films he was awesome with that stuff (come back to sydney dude!).
I drove home and got to mark's uber late. They'd already played out some of the DDR olympics you can read about here, here and here. I joined in for a few rounds, but I was pretty outclassed. It was kinda like another "warcraft 3" scenario where everyone overestimates my ability at something to get me to feel good about doing it. I think I'd rather just choose to do it, knowing that I'm going to suck from the outset. It's more realistic that way. Shelle is an absolute machine, so it was nice to watch someone owning. Gus is no slouch either, and apparently yuki is really good as well. If it was still 1999, and we lived in america, we could make a DDR clan. If we did, I reckon we should call it "Groove Thang". We could all grow afros and refuse to play any songs that don't have soul. We'd probably be defeated in the area final by the 14 year old singaporean girl squad called "kawaii! ^_^" or something.
I split earlyish from the dancing with chenny to go see antiskeptic. It was way way way way way worth it. They played well, and I ran into a guy I know from BBB. Good fun all round really. I also bought a jacket, which I needed badly. Chenny and myself stopped off at summer hill on the way home to go for a skate. It was nice. Good grinds, and I started to learn how to do manuals. Very fun. We got fresh bread rolls afterwards at the weird bakery too, for the drive home. The baker didn't think I was homeless this time though.
